About the technology
This is a technically demanding AIaaS (artificial intelligence as a service) initiative, combining multiple data types within a single model. These include speech characteristics, eye and pupil movement patterns, smartphone gyroscope data, reaction speed, keyboard usage patterns, task-performance data and other digital signals. Our goal is to build a robust multimodal model that can assess user state as accurately and practically as possible. The technology is currently in the patent application phase.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will work closely with our CTO, Hannes, and take primary responsibility for building and advancing the machine learning side of the platform. This includes data processing, feature engineering, model training, validation and iterative improvement. The role requires, above all, readiness to work with audio, sensor and performance data and to integrate these into a reliable machine learning framework.
Ideal fit
- Experience building machine learning models
- Readiness to work with audio, motion or other sensor data
- Experience combining multimodal or heterogeneous data sources
- Readiness to operate in ambiguity and build in an early-stage environment
- A responsible attitude toward processing privacy-sensitive data
Compensation
This is not a conventional salaried position within an established company. ClarScan is an early-stage growth venture preparing for capital raising and its next phase of development. What we offer is the opportunity to join early in a role with a genuine co-founder dimension, meaningful option upside and the ability to shape the company’s technological foundation directly.
This opportunity is best suited to someone who wants more than just an interesting ML problem to solve — someone who wants to help build something from the ground up with the potential to grow into an internationally scalable technology company.
Work setup
Most of the work can be done remotely, but you should be available for in-person meetings at least once a week. Our core team is based in Tartu, Estonia.
Your primary task is to help ClarScan move from a technology idea to a market-ready company that partners can understand and engage with. This role combines strategy with hands-on execution — we are not looking for someone who only “manages marketing.” We need someone who can think big but also do the practical work when needed.
- Shaping ClarScan’s market positioning and messaging
- Developing communications aimed at investors, partners, and clients
- Mapping potential partners and establishing initial contact
- Building collaboration networks in Estonia and internationally
- Preparing pilot projects and partnership opportunities
- Thinking through B2C, B2B, B2G, and B2B2G sales logic
- Testing marketing and sales channels
- Using CRM, outreach, email marketing, landing pages, analytics, and other growth tools
- Cross-functional alignment with technology, product, and business sides
This role requires someone who is not afraid to send the first email, make calls, open doors, request meetings, prepare pitch materials, test messaging, and build ClarScan’s first market and partnership engine from scratch.
First-phase focus
- Help sell ClarScan as a project: make the company story, value proposition, and potential clear to investors, partners, and early supporters
- Build partnerships in domains where ClarScan’s solutions can deliver the greatest practical value: workplace safety, road safety, insurance, HR, health behavior, self-control, public sector, and supervision processes
- Shape the sales strategy for future services. While ClarScan SelfGuard may be B2C, much of future revenue may come from B2B, B2G, and B2B2G models where trust, partnership, regulatory fit, and technological integration are critical
Ideal fit
- Strategic thinking and the ability to see the big picture
- Willingness to do hands-on early-stage marketing and sales work yourself
- Experience or strong interest in startup marketing, growth, B2B sales, or partnerships
- Ability to use modern marketing and sales tools
- Skill in crafting and testing messages for different target audiences
- Courage to communicate with investors, partners, clients, and institutions
- Understanding that deep-tech products are sold through trust, expertise, and partnerships — not advertising alone
- Readiness to work in ambiguity and build systems from zero
Experience with CRM systems, LinkedIn outreach, email marketing, pitch decks, landing pages, no-code tools, web analytics, campaign testing, market research, investor communications, or partnership sales is a plus — but not all are required. Entrepreneurial mindset, fast learning, and strong communication matter more.
This may suit an experienced marketing or business development professional moving from a salaried role to a co-founder position, or an ambitious younger candidate with exceptional drive and willingness to take responsibility.
What we offer
- Direct influence on the company’s go-to-market strategy
- The opportunity to shape ClarScan’s brand, messaging, and partner network from the start
- Participation in building an internationally scalable technology company
- Option upside aligned with contribution, responsibility, and long-term role
- Work on technology with applications across road safety, workplace safety, self-control, health behavior, and supervision
Work setup
Most work can be done remotely. We expect regular in-person meetings, especially for strategy, partnerships, investor relations, and key team milestones. ClarScan’s core team is based in Tartu, Estonia.
